Welcome to Seward County

We would love to have you come visit Seward County where have a tremendous amount of history, attractions and wide open spaces for you to see. One of our most noted landmarks is the Samson of the Cimarron, an engineering marvel at the time it was built in 1938, the bridge  is 1,200 feet long and 100 feet above the riverbed. Support pylons were driven to a depth of 165 feet to resist the shifting quicksand of the then swift Cimarron River.
