Depart for Meade County Historical Society Museum, 200 Carthage, a stroll down the boardwalk for a look at the past. |

Depart for the Dalton Gang Hideout; Eva Dalton Whipple House and Heritage House, 502 S. Pearlette (one block east of museum on Carthage, turn south 4 blocks.) Escape down the tunnel the outlaws used. Browse the gift shop. |

Depart for Plains, Hwy 54 traveling west, 13 miles. |

Arrive in Plains. Drive down their famous wide Main Street once featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not! Check out Itsabird Co., Emu Oil natural products, Southwest Tortilla Company or see what's ripe for picking at the Apple Hutch Orchard. |
